About GLITCH:Game Testers
GLITCH: GAME TESTERS is a group of high school students who have a passion for gaming and a desire to learn about the game industry, fulfilling their dreams of becoming game programmers and designers. This Quality Assurance (QA) team works full-time in the summer and part-time during the school year testing games and entertainment applications. To date we have had 33 young men participate in the program, of those who have completed high school most have gone on to college to focus on computing or digital media studies.
The students’ QA job training includes introductory computer science courses. We hope Glitch is developing future game programmers, designers, and artist to improve the diversity of the game industry. But no matter what they choose to do next, this real world work experience will assist them in their careers.
Glitch is a research project conducted by Georgia Institute of Technology and Morehouse College and funded by the National Science Foundation. This support helps Glitch offer high quality services at extraordinarily low prices.

Glitch completes it third summer of testing. From June 6 – July 29 15 young men worked full time testing games with Glitch. The Glitch testers gained real world experience working for game companies and participated in classes learning to design games using Greenfoot, a framework for creating in Java and integrating development environments. An additional class was offered after work hours for those who wanted to study for the Advanced Placement Computer Science test.
